Eligibility
Competitions hosted on AbandonedAssetsOS are open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, possessions, and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
The following individuals are not eligible to enter or win:
- Employees, officers, and directors of AbandonedAssetsOS and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotion agencies
- Immediate family members of any such employees (defined as spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, or sibling, regardless of where they live)
- Persons residing in the same household as any such employees
- Any individual whose account has been suspended or terminated for violations of the Acceptable Use Policy
Participants must have a valid, active AbandonedAssetsOS account in good standing to enter skill-based competitions, unless otherwise stated in the individual competition rules.
No Purchase Necessary — Free Alternate Entry
No purchase, payment, or subscription is required to enter any competition on AbandonedAssetsOS. To obtain a free entry without making any purchase:
Free Entry by Mail or Email
Send a handwritten or typed postcard — or a plain-text email — containing your: full legal name, email address, and state of residence, along with the name of the specific competition you wish to enter.

Limit one (1) free entry per person per competition. Entries received after the competition close date will not be eligible. AbandonedAssetsOS is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries.
Prize Descriptions & Delivery
Prize details, values, and quantities are announced per individual competition. The following general terms apply to all prizes:
Cash Prizes
Paid via Stripe or ACH direct deposit to a verified U.S. bank account. Processing time: 5–10 business days after W-9 receipt and winner verification.
Physical Prizes
Shipped via standard carrier to a verified U.S. delivery address. No P.O. Boxes for items over 2 lbs. Shipping and handling included.
Digital Prizes
Platform subscriptions, feature credits, and digital goods are applied directly to the winner's account within 5 business days of verification.
Prize Expiration
Winners must claim prizes within 30 days of notification. Unclaimed prizes are forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted, except at AbandonedAssetsOS's sole discretion. AbandonedAssetsOS reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
Winner Selection
Winners are selected by one of two methods, as specified in each individual competition's official rules:
- Skill-based competitions: Entries are judged by a panel of qualified judges based on objective deal metrics including: number of completed deals, aggregate deal value, deal accuracy scores, and compliance with competition-specific criteria. Decisions of the judges are final and binding.
- Random drawings: Winners selected using a certified random number generator (RNG) from all eligible entries received by the entry deadline. Each eligible entry receives one equal chance of being selected.
Potential winners will be notified via the email address associated with their account or entry. Winners must respond within 10 business days of notification to claim their prize.
Taxes & Reporting
Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes on any prize received. AbandonedAssetsOS will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC for prizes with a fair market value exceeding $600 in a calendar year.
Prior to disbursement of any prize, winners will be required to:
- Complete and return IRS Form W-9 (or W-8BEN for eligible non-residents)
- Provide a valid government-issued photo ID for identity verification
- Provide a valid U.S. mailing address for tax documents
Failure to return required tax documentation within 30 days of request will result in prize forfeiture.
Publicity Rights
By accepting a prize, each winner grants AbandonedAssetsOS a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use their first name, last initial, state of residence, and a general description of their winning entry (e.g., "John D. from Ohio, Q1 Deal Champion") for promotional and advertising purposes in any media, without additional compensation or approval.
Winners may opt out of this publicity license by submitting a written request to competitions@abandonedassets.live within 30 days of prize notification. Opting out will not affect the winner's right to receive their prize.
State Registration Requirements
Competitions with aggregate prize values exceeding $5,000 may require registration and/or bonding with the states of New York and Florida before entries from residents of those states may be accepted. Where such registration is required, AbandonedAssetsOS will notify potential entrants prior to the entry period opening.

Dispute Resolution
All disputes arising from or relating to any competition, prize, or these official rules are subject to the mandatory arbitration provisions set forth in the AbandonedAssetsOS Terms of Service. Class action waivers apply. Ohio law governs all disputes without regard to conflict of law principles.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these official rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio.
Modification & Cancellation
AbandonedAssetsOS reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any competition or prize at any time, for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion, including but not limited to: insufficient entries, technical failures, fraud, or events beyond its reasonable control. In the event of cancellation, AbandonedAssetsOS will make reasonable efforts to notify registered entrants.
AbandonedAssetsOS is not responsible for electronic transmission errors, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control that may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of any competition.
